CLASSICAL HOMEOPATHY

Classical Homeopathy is a term coined by Professor George Vithoulkas in 1978, referring to the understanding and practice of Homeopathy as defined by the teachings of its founder, Dr Samuel Hahnemann, a German medical doctor, teachings enriched by the contributions of his follower Dr Kent, further explained and complemented by Prof Vithoulkas.

This medical science  is based on a deep understanding of health, disease and the dynamic process of cure. Its Materia Medica is based solely on reliable scientific evidence, toxicological studies and years of clinical case evaluation.  Classical Homeopathy, also known as Hahnemannian Homeopathy, is free from all the deviations that have corrupted this medical science and requires extensive training and commitment in both theory and clinical practice.

Prof Vithoulkas is known as the personality who re-established the credentials of Homeopathy. He has been invited by many medical universities around the world to present his groundbreaking theories of The Continuum of a unified theory of diseases and the Levels of Health and to discuss pathologies and clinical cases deemed incurable by conventional medicine. His medical contributions and efforts to raise the standards of homeopathy have earned him the Right Livelihood Award and his training programme is now being adopted by medical universities worldwide.

The Similimum,
a key principle of
Classical Homeopathy

Classical Hahnemannian Homeopathy is the type of homeopathy taught by its founder Dr. Hahnemann who claimed that at any given time only one remedy should be given to the patient, the one that has the greatest similarity to his disease. This process of finding the correct remedy (similimum) is very tedious and requires a great knowledge of the Materia Medica, of how the physiology works, and an in-depth case taking.

A skilled homeopath finds the similimum and has impressive therapeutic results, where one lacking  knowledge does not know which remedy to prescribe and may give three, four or up to twenty remedies. This type of homeopathy does not follow the rules of the physiology nor the ones of Classical Homeopathy and cannot give proper results nor support the process of cure.

Levels of Health & Continuum of diseases
A major medical breakthrough

Levels of Health is a highly original contribution to homeopathy and the medical field as a whole provided  by Prof. George Vithoulkas.

This new and pioneering theory of the Levels of Health will enable homeopaths and medical practitioners to deeply understand the process their patient is going through and they will understand when to apply remedies, what potency to prescribe, how often to repeat the remedy and what to expect as a reaction.

Why one case of asthma is curable and why the other asthma case is so difficult to manage ? Why one case of psoriasis can be cured and the other case can only be helped marginally ? Understanding of such deep issues is the highlight of this study, whereby one can become more proficient in the diagnosis as well as grasping the real prognosis of each case.
